Terms and Conditions

1. About us and these terms

www.stevensonbuildingcontractors.com is operated by Stevenson Building Contractors Limited, registered in England and Wales under company number 04475375, at Chargrove House, Main Road, Shurdington, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, GL51 4GA. You can contact us at office@stevensonbuilding.co.uk or on 01454 269 430.

By using our website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. We may update them by amending this page, so please check back.

These terms cover the website only. They are not the contract for any building work. If you engage us, that work will be governed by a separate written quotation or contract, which takes precedence over anything on this site.

2. Availability

The site is provided free of charge. We do not guarantee it will always be available or uninterrupted, and we may suspend, withdraw or change all or part of it for business or operational reasons. You are responsible for making sure anyone who uses the site through your connection is aware of these terms.

3. Our intellectual property

We own or are licensed to use all intellectual property rights in this website and its content, including the text, our project photography, logos and graphics. You may print or download extracts for your own personal use and draw them to the attention of colleagues, but you must not modify them, use images separately from the text they accompany, or use any part of the site for commercial purposes without our permission. If you breach this, your right to use the site ends immediately.

4. No reliance on the information here

The content on this site is general information, not advice you should rely on. It is not a technical, structural or regulatory recommendation for any particular project.

Prices, timescales, service descriptions and project examples are indicative. Every project is different, and any figures or timescales for your project will be confirmed in a written quotation following a site visit or detailed discussion. Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance.

We make reasonable efforts to keep the site up to date, but we give no warranty that the content is accurate, complete or current.

5. Enquiries

Sending an enquiry does not create a contract or oblige us to quote or carry out work. We use the information you send to respond, as described in our Privacy Policy. Please do not send confidential or sensitive information through the website form.

6. Our liability

Nothing here excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under English law.

Otherwise, and so far as the law allows, we exclude all implied conditions, warranties and representations relating to your use of this website, and we will not be liable for loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or from reliance on its content. This includes loss of profits, sales, business, revenue, anticipated savings, goodwill or reputation, business interruption, and any indirect or consequential loss.

If you are a consumer, this does not affect your statutory rights.

7. Misuse of the site

You must not introduce viruses or other harmful material, attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its servers, or use the site to send unsolicited marketing, submit false enquiries, or for any unlawful purpose. Doing so may be a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. We may block your access if you breach these terms.

8. Links and third-party content

Where our site links to or embeds content from other providers, such as maps or videos, that is for your information only. We have no control over those sites and accept no responsibility for them. You may link to our home page provided you do so fairly and legally, and do not suggest any association or endorsement that does not exist.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your home country.
